AI transformation is human work
Treating AI as an IT project misses what actually changes — how your people think, decide, and create. Real transformation happens person by person.
The organizations that will thrive in the AI era won't be the ones with the most tools. They'll be the ones whose people learn to work with AI — with purpose, judgment, and craft. That kind of capability isn't bought. It's built, person by person, decision by decision, alongside the work itself.
SprintImpact exists to help leaders and teams build that capability deliberately — bridging the gap between deep AI craft and human-centered design, so what gets shipped is what actually matters.
Wendy Tam is the founder and principal consultant of SprintImpact, which she launched in 2020 after two decades leading digital product teams — building software at the intersection of design, technology, and people across financial services, education, and the public sector.
Before founding SprintImpact, in 2018 she led an AI product team to win the Global Champion title at the United Nations' World Summit Awards — a first for a Hong Kong-based company. Since starting SprintImpact, she has trained over 500 senior leaders across HKSAR government, banking, and major institutions on how to lead AI transformation with confidence. She also serves as Fractional AI Officer to a small number of organizations — embedded with their leadership teams to shape strategy month over month.
Wendy teaches at HKUSPACE — leading Executive AI programs and User Experience Design courses for accredited degree programs. She holds practitioner certifications across AWS and Microsoft AI tracks, is a Certified Design Sprint Master (AJ&S and Jake Knapp), and writes Better AI — a publication for leaders, product creators, and UX practitioners shaping purposeful AI.
Earlier in her career, Wendy led design and product work for Ocean Park, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, BBC, Herman Miller, HKUST, and Lane Crawford — across consumer, retail, education, and public sectors.
She founded SprintImpact to do the work she'd always wished existed: an AI partnership that takes the human side as seriously as the technical one.

Software designed without its users gets quietly worked around. We build with the people who'll use the work, not over the fence to them.
The most capable AI users we know aren't prompt experts. They're thoughtful professionals who know when to use AI — and when not to.
Strategy decks that survive contact with reality are rare. We work in the open, ship real things, and adjust as we learn.
A one-time workshop wears off in weeks. Real capability is built through practice, in the rhythm of real work, with coaching that stays close.
